Embrace Angels Operator instructions

powering on
make sure all switches are turned on on both 10 ways under table
turn on PC : pass biggreenbox
turn on right monitor with LG remote
make sure installation screens are on
make sure all cameras turned on and are visible
plug in audio receiver to minijack in ATEM, and into usb-c for power (you may have to unplug/replug the usbc to power it)
power on headphones, press settings on LG remote, sound - sound out - use wireless speaker- Bluetooth device- jlab rewind 2
make sure webpresenter is plugged in to the USB-c in rear of PC


software set up

IMPORTANT: change the output video name:
open ATEM Software Control from Taskbar.
make sure LACIE is plugged into ATEM
under OUTPUT on right, change the day number and press return to confirm it
close ATEM Software Control.

The projects are in the Embrace Angels Amsterdam desktop folder:

to set up the simulator.....

open the simulator
"C:\Users\vipst\Desktop\Embrace Angels Amsterdam\Simulator\Simulator\lightweight_simulator.py"
resize the view window and put it in the top left of the screen.
minimize the CMD window that opens


to setup the Touch Designer Project
open the project
most recent "C:\Users\vipst\Desktop\Embrace Angels Amsterdam\CineKids_T_DProject\EmbraceAngels_CineKids.xx.toe"
hit F1 to go to perform mode
move the window to the top right of the screen- it should not overlap the simulator window.
close any explorer windows
press the MAIN SCREEN button
press the PROMPT SCREEN Button
make sure the image is coming through from the ATEM- make sure Webpresenter is selected in the setting on bottom right of UI
set Screencapture to Robot simulator ( if not there press the refresh source button)
press the start AI button
minimize CMD Window

To play the soundtrack:
right click on EmbraceAngelsV1RahsaanBleijs.wav and open with VLC
position vlc at bottom right of screen so you have access to volume
make sure Syncmaster is et as sound output in volume settings


to set up the iPhone cameras
open DroidCam from the Taskbar
move the wiodow so it is not over the Robot simulator window.
open DroidCam on both iPhones (iPhone 15 passcode 123456, iPhone Xr 000000)
if the video feed does not come through automatically match the WIFI IP from each phone: in the properties in desktop Droidcam of each phone - deactivate. match IP. Activate. Repeat.
if you dont see the video feed in the Touch Designer project make sure Droidcam is selected as Device at the bottom right.
note, ive noticed that the rotation on the camera is a bit rogue

to set up the Pi Cameras

Dom/ John will turn them on and attach them to the arms. they will connect automatically when powered on.

put a mic on karen. check sound is coming through on ATEM - MIC 1 should be set to on.
set levels on the receiver and on the ATEM
delete the prompt

on start:
press record on ATEM AND Touch Designer UI
get SUPPORT to number the take (check number with RESEARCH) with clapper board of phone with number on it
make sure Iphones are on kids necks
karen will talk to the kids,
get their names
paste one of each group:

press image capture when hugs in middle with top cam on AND at end once prompts are in

at the end Karen will ask how it felt and give the prompts on paper, type them in to the prompt
that prompt is used while the robots go into search mode

Backing up the days captures:
Plug in the silver 10TB Lacie drive

from ATEM Lacie:
unplug the WebPresenter USBC cable from the webpresenter and plug it into the Small ATEM LACIE
from Touch Designer
navigate to: C:\AIModels\EmbraceAngelsRecordings
copy the days recordings and images into
Give images to Herman

put mics back in charging box, unplug audio receiver and put in charging box

charge headphones

powering down

Replugin Webpresenter USB and ATEM Lacie drive
Press Stop AI on touch designer
Close all programs Choose "Quit" NOT "Save and Quit" on TouchDesigner
Turn off large monitors with remotes, and small monitors (buttons next to lights)
Turn off LG monitor with remote.
Put headphones and microphones and Iphones on charge.
Power down PC
Turn off ATEM and Webpresenter switches on 10 way extensions on floor
Turn off small LED
